In what cases and when is repeated rhinoplasty performed?
Of course, not all operations after rhinoplasty are successful, problems may arise that may require a repeat operation; there may be bends, nasal collapse, nasal hump may reappear.
Or in very fleshy noses, due to a certain long-term tumor, subcutaneous scar tissue is formed, which can distort the shape of the nose, there can be breathing problems, internal valve stenosis and other problems, in which cases there are indications for reoperation. Not all doctors are insured against this, of course.
Usually repeated operations are done after 1 year. Even in thick-skinned noses, you can wait up to 2 years, because the results of such operations can be obtained after a long time. If it is an extremely shortened nose, it is more advisable to do this operation quickly, because the skin gets shorter and shorter, and as it gets shorter, it also collects and cannot be lengthened later.
Because in small noses, the goal is to lengthen the nose, so the nose can be operated on urgently if the skin is not completely shortened and the nose is not scarred.
